Do you already use your (ISM) Safety Management System to identify weak points and potentials for improvement? I can be of assistance, regardless if you wish a long term supervision or after having identified need for action and search for the reasons. Together we will identify the root causes and will find corrections and preventive actions.
To receive usefull KPI's different sources can be used. Both external (Port State Control, Flag State, classification Society but also other third parties) and internal (Audit, Superinendent Vsits, ...) reports deliver categorized findings. Areas of interest and concern can be identified by this to pay special attention to. Furthermore developments can be identified, allowing a deep and detailed analysis.
This wide range of information will assist in assessing the performance of the system by defining tailor-made criteria. As different intervalls of evaluation can be defined, developments can be identified to trigger needs for action on a very early stage. Knowing this in addition to theroot cause analysis allows goal-oriented actions to either solve existingissues or even stop them from developing.
